Living in the ordinary world is anything but ordinary for twins Percy and Nell Shearwater. After all, Percy is not like most eleven-year-old boys. Most eleven-year-old boys don’t have gills.

Curse of the Dearmad is a debut middle-grade fiction novel written by Emma Mylrea. For Curse of the Dearmad, I provided the cover design, over 50 chapter heading illustrations, a double-page map illustration, and a double-page finale feature illustration. I worked in tandem with the author and publisher to visualise this urban fantasy, offering its readers a depiction of its dynamic characters, nautical environments, and key narrative elements.

I also helped to promote the release of Curse of the Dearmad by creating an animated book trailer, which you can watch below, and by providing social media assets for Tiny Tree Children’s Books.
